There are many ways to keep yourself active on our ships. A few laps of the Promenade Deck and the games of shuffleboard and deck quoits have been pastimes for almost as long as we have been sailing. You’ll find pursuits like table tennis, paddle tennis, golf putting and swimming too. For armchair sports fans, Sport24 offers coverage of major events including the Premier League, Wimbledon, Formula 1, the Ryder Cup and more, shown in certain bars and lounges, and all staterooms and suites.

Fitness Classes

Keep up with your exercise routine, or try something new, at fitness classes for all levels. 

Setting your own pace really defines the Cunard experience, and our fitness classes offer a sociable way to stay active and energetic. Work on your posture and strength with Pilates, yoga or t’ai chi. It’s easy to raise the pace by joining in aerobics and spinning classes, boot camps or even personal training sessions.

Games Deck

Queen Elizabeth’s Games Deck is a unique feature among our ships, offering al fresco entertainment.

Spend time in the great outdoors wherever you are in the world. This refined, expansive area is a garden-like space in which to enjoy games such as bowls, deck tennis and croquet, shaded from the sun. You could also hone your putting skills in our golf nets, perhaps with a few pointers from the helpful entertainment team. And if you’re ready for a challenge, you could sign up to one of our friendly tournaments to add a little competitive edge

Art Gallery

Meet leading artists and expand your own collection at Clarendon Fine Art Gallery.

Satisfy your artistic curiosity at any hour aboard all three of our ships. The Clarendon Fine Art Gallery offers a finely curated collection which is open for viewing round the clock, 365 days a year. Exhibitions feature original artwork, hand signed limited editions and sculptures which can change by the day and feature such names as L.S. Lowry, Sherree Valentine-Daines and Christian Hook. Clarendon Fine Art also hosts events from gallery tours to exclusive previews and informative lectures.

Library

Take inspiration whilst on holiday and immerse yourself in the largest book collections at sea. 

For many, a good read is an essential part of a relaxing holiday and there's no better time to indulge this passion than whilst on board with us. You'll find the range of titles available in our beautiful libraries is as impressive as the refined surroundings.

So, find yourself a good book, pull up a leather armchair and enjoy some quiet contemplation. You may even wish to join the Cunard Book Club where thought provoking literary discussions with fellow guests are led by the ship's librarian.

Traditional Afternoon Tea

You can devote an indulgent hour each and every day to our signature Afternoon Tea. 

If anything perfectly encapsulates Cunard’s service and sense of occasion, it is our prized daily ritual: Afternoon Tea, served by white-gloved waiters from 3.30 to 4.30pm every day in the Queens Room. Indulgent finger sandwiches, scones and pastries accompany Twinings fine leaf teas, as the orchestra provides a melodic backdrop. Our Grills guests may also retreat to the more intimate Princess Grill restaurant, while a more casual interpretation awaits in the Lido or King’s Court.

When evening falls, the curtain rises. Our cast of talented performers is ready to delight you. 

Every evening during your cruise promises a stellar array of entertainment choices. So, whether you’re in the mood for music, dance performances or even magic shows, prepare to settle into your seat. Watch the resident Royal Court Singers & Dancers stage dazzling West End style productions or abridged Shakespeare performances. We’ve also hand-picked a talented line-up of vocalists and instrumentalists, aerial performers and illusionists, stand-up comedians and variety entertainers.

Gala Balls

Many guests come on board just to dance; no wonder we’re famous for our spectacular Gala Balls. 

Our Gala Balls are highly anticipated occasions on any cruise of three nights or more. They’re the reason you’ve packed your finest dinner jackets and ballgowns, ready to sweep around the Queens Room. An eight-piece orchestra sets the tempo to an evening of dancing; our gentlemen hosts are always waiting to accompany any single ladies. Every event has a glamorous theme, from the traditional Black & White Ball and Masquerade Ball, to a Roaring Twenties Ball and a hat-focused Ascot Ball.

Live Music

Every Cunard experience plays out to a backdrop of fabulous live music on board. 

Live music will be an unmistakable signature of every moment on your ship. Our accomplished resident musicians will create an enticing ambience, during relaxing moments and on grand social occasions. The string trio provides a warm welcome on board and melodic accompaniment to Afternoon Tea. The resident pianist sets an elegant tone to evening dinner drinks in the Commodore Club, and you’ll also find harpists and contemporary bands in public rooms and lounges throughout the ship.

There are many compelling reasons why wine connoisseurs should raise a glass on our ships. 

We regularly welcome wine experts on board to enrich your knowledge through lectures and tastings. We also invite wine producers to pair their wines with a lavish tasting menu at special wine dinners. You can pre-purchase from our collection of fine wine packages, carefully curated by our sommeliers, while pairing recommendations are only ever a phone call away courtesy of our ‘Wine Line’. These include the Cunard Craft Beers, a trio of signature beers brewed exclusively for us by award-winning micro brewery Dark Revolution.

Chart Room

Be tempted by the classic allure and impressive drinks range of this refined cocktail bar. 

You'll appreciate on your holiday that there's a bar to suit every occasion and when you require somewhere especially refined you'll love the allure of this classic venue. Through charts and cartography, the elegant menu pairs classic drinks with light canapés and snacks – and delectable Godiva chocolates.

Sample the flavours of signature specials drawing inspiration from destinations on your voyage, and when evening falls be tempted by the unique character of our 20 Zodiac themed cocktails.

Yacht Club

Blessed with exceptional views, The Yacht Club on Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth hosts many entertaining events. Join us here by day and return later to dance under the glow of the evening stars. As evening approaches, jazz fans in particular may find themselves here as the Yacht Club transitions into a lively pre- and post-dinner venue with superb live jazz. Later that evening those who love to party will relish the fact that the resident DJ and dance band play late into the night.

Grills lounge

Reserved exclusively for Queens Grill and Princess Grill guests, indulge in afternoon tea in the intimate Grills lounge, served by white-gloved waiters, or enjoy pre-dinner drinks and appetisers.

Garden Lounge

Join us in this refined and airy lounge to unwind, enjoy the sun and watch the world go by. 

You'll soon discover that the Garden Lounge on Queen Elizabeth is the perfect place to unwind, with its relaxed and airy feel along with design touches inspired by the conservatories at Kew Gardens. This versatile lounge is known for its relaxed ambiance and is flooded with natural daylight so come here to enjoy an informal breakfast, to savour a refreshing cocktail or for a delicious afternoon tea. Winter Garden 

You'll find this airy lounge is flooded with daylight and is always relaxing at any time of day. 

On board Queen Elizabeth, close to the pool and Lido buffet, this is the place to experience a more informal atmosphere until late in the evening. Floor to ceiling windows allow sweeping views from this comfortable and relaxing venue.

Godiva at Sir Samuel's

Godiva at Sir Samuel’s on our flagship offers an unforgettable treat for chocolate lovers. 

Sir Samuel’s is a welcoming venue for an expertly blended tea or coffee. Here, you can indulge your sweet tooth too courtesy of the exquisite selection of confectionery by Belgian chocolatier, Godiva. You’ll find a decadent array of tempting pralines and sublime truffles. Luxurious ice creams with intense dark chocolate in a waffle cone may tempt you more. You'll find dancing in our magnificent Queens Room ballrooms a truly magical experience.

Our Queens Room ballrooms are quite simply the largest at sea. You’ll find it’s the perfect place to dance the night away under beautiful crystal chandeliers and to the company of a live orchestra. There is no better place for you to revel in the joy of dance than under the dramatic high ceiling and our sparkling Royal Night Themed Balls are always spectacular. And remember, our complimentary dance lessons are the perfect way to hone your skills and build your confidence.

Nightclub

Visit the nightclub to dance late into the evening to the sounds of the live DJ and resident band. 

For a night to remember and to dance until the small hours you’ll love the strikingly located Yacht Club on board Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. Whereas on Queen Mary 2, G32 is a stunning venue. Sequence Dancing 

Experience all the fun of sequence dancing in the stunning Queens Room ballroom.

If you enjoy dancing as part of a group then you'll relish the regular sequence dancing that takes place in the magnificent Queens Room ballroom. Everyone is welcome and its always entertaining. If you've taken part in dance lessons earlier in the day then you are welcome to join in and use this fun opportunity to put your new moves to the test. Dances range from line dancing to tango and usually take place when the band has a break.

Parties

If partying in the open air is your idea of fun then you'll love our lively deck parties. Our deck parties are always fun so join the sailaway party to get your holiday off to a great start. In warmer seas you may also enjoy a tropical deck party, an exuberant occasion not to be missed. Sailaway parties take place on the open deck when weather allows and you'll enjoy a buzzing atmosphere with live music and dancing. Sense the excitement for the coming voyage start to build and toast your fellow guests to wish them a wonderful holiday.

Film Screenings

Enjoy a blockbuster movie or some of the latest cinema releases during your voyage. 

There are just so many ways you can relax whilst on holiday with us, including blockbuster movies and some of the latest releases. Take in an afternoon or early evening screening in the spectacular setting of the Royal Court Theatre, or Illuminations on board Queen Mary 2.
