Ship
Silver Ray
Overview

Portraying a dynamic and immediate connection with nature, where the touch of light inspires purity and movement, Silversea’s second Nova Class ship will be named Silver Ray. The pioneering luxury vessel inherits the revolutionary aspects of sister ship Silver Nova – notably the innovative asymmetrical design offering uninterrupted views from every vantage point through an extraordinary use of glass in both public spaces and in suite. At 54,700 gross tons and hosting just 728 guests, she will be among the most spacious ships ever built with a space to guest ratio of 75 GRT-per-passenger. Silver Ray… progressive and gazing at the future.

Public Areas

The Pool Deck

Enjoy a reimagined space where you can relax, refresh and rejuvenate on decks 10 and 11. Ample sunbeds for everyone, more space than ever before and the largest pool in the fleet – which offers exceptional 270 unhampered views - are just the beginning. The upper level sun deck is perfectly placed for those who want a quieter space to relax, and still enjoy those incredible, expansive views that are the hallmark of Silver Ray.

The Dusk Bar

With an emphasis on the destination, panoramic views connects you with the world beyond on The Dusk Bar. This superb open-air sky bar provides plenty of space for guests to enjoy a pre or post dinner drink, while drinking in the jaw dropping 270-degree, panoramic views from the stern.

The Marquee

The expansive, attractive Marquee houses two of our greatest dining successes. Thanks to Silver Ray’s groundbreaking asymmetrical design, we have been able to create an exciting new al fresco dining venue. The Marquee incorporates both The Grill and Spaccanapoli—two of Silversea’s existing signature venues, which offer guests our trademark ‘hot rocks’ culinary concept as well as what are surely the best pizzas at sea.

Arts Cafe

The Arts Café offers a cultural setting for eating, drinking and socialising, as well as a chance to lose yourself while reading up on all your favourite artists and art. Enjoy healthy snacks and smoothies plus hot and cold drinks, juices, pastries and sandwiches in a light and airy space. Pop in for a late breakfast or afternoon snack, along with real Italian espresso plus a great range of tea.

Dining

Atlantide

Atlantide offers guests our quintessential dining experience. Combining contemporary elegance and hallmark Silversea service, this classic restaurant offers our signature fine dining. Atlantide is one of our best-loved eateries, and on Silver Ray we have given it an updated design. Large picture windows, sophisticated lighting design, plus a warm colour spectrum give Atlantide a blend of high-end and whispered luxury. The menu prides itself on superb ingredients and sublime flavour combinations, from caviar to lobster to gorgeous, melt in the mouth deserts.

S.a.l.t. Kitchen

Are you hungry for something new? Eat your way through the places on your cruise in the S.A.L.T. Kitchen. Enjoy destination-inspired menus, including the Terrain menu, which offers recipes and flavours specific to the port visited, and the Voyage menu, which draws inspiration from the best flavours of the voyage.

La Terraza

Our hallmark Italian restaurant is as varied as the food-loving country itself. La Terrazza aboard Silver Ray offers an unparalleled destination dining experience, from its expansive floor-to-ceiling windows to its large, outdoor terrace.

Silver Note

Where do you go if you want great food and a brilliant atmosphere in a relaxed and sophisticated setting? Silver Note of course! Harkening back to the old school days of dinner and dancing, this venue embodies a feeling of fun and sense of glamour that is unequalled in the industry. Jazz bands and soul singers play live as you sample delicate tapas style dishes with a gourmet twist. We guarantee a superlative night of entertainment in the gorgeously designed dinner venue.

The Grill

Silversea’s much-loved casual dining restaurants serves a delectable range of burgers and salads by day, and turns into our famous Hot Rocks table BBQ concept by night. Found in our brand new eating venue The Marquee, The Grill is quite simply, the best place to eat between sea and sky.

Spaccanapoli

Nothing says Italy quite as well as a hot, fresh pizza. Spaccanapoli is a slice of Naples, where you’ll taste deliciously thin, freshly made pizzas, topped with creamy mozzarella and minimalist toppings.

Destination
South America
South America is huge, with scenic wonders that would impress even the most jaded traveler, cosmopolitan cities and native villages, snow-capped mountains, deserts and lush rain forests, miles of sandy beaches and areas so isolated a visitor feels swept back in time.

There are many options to cruising South America, and there is no better way to explore this vast continent than on a cruise vacation.
Ports of Call
Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
City Fort Lauderdale

Originally a fort built by the U.S. Army in 1838 during the Second Seminole War, Fort Lauderdale welcomes visitors with broad, palm-fringed beaches and an easy pace of life. Stroll along fashionable Las Olas Boulevard with its stylish shops or enjoy a sightseeing cruise through the city''s canals, boasting more waterways than Venice. Or, venture out and explore the cosmopolitan city of Palm Beach, or the wildlife sanctuary of the Everglades.

Port of Oranjestad, Aruba, Caribbean

The tiny island of Aruba is the smallest of the ABC Islands, which include Barbados and Curacao. Aruba lies about 15 miles north of Venezuela and has limited vegetation. The landscape consists of cacti and the curiously wind-bent divi divi trees. You may also be interested in climbing atop some of the huge boulders and exploring some of its caves. Of course, the main attractions to this island are its magnificent beaches against the turquoise waters full of spectacular marine life, which lure scores of sunbathers, snorkelers, and divers each year to the island.

Though small, Aruba has room for some luxury as well. If you travel along Palm Beach, you will find the several miles of this white sand lined with a string of hotels with glitzy casinos, restaurants and exotic boutiques. The crystal-clear waters of this beach are ideal for swimming and all kinds of watersports. However, if you prefer to stay dry, you are more than welcome to enjoy Aruba''s exotic underwater world from the glass bottom boats or on a submarine excursion.

Willemstad, Curacao
City Willemstad

The ship passes through a channel in the reef, into a broad, perfectly protected natural harbor. This is Willemstad, where Dutch gingerbread houses, superb shopping, excellent restaurants and bustling casinos abound. Nature buffs will love the exotic plants and tropical birdlife of Christoffel National Park. And don''t forget to sample the famous Curaao liqueur, still made here.

Cartagena, Colombia
City Cartagena

Charming Cartagena is one of the most fascinating towns in South America. The old city, almost completely surrounded by lagoons, bays and the Caribbean Sea, is still girded by its 17th-century fortifications. Once these guarded the gold and treasures of the New World, bound for Spain; now they shelter ornate churches and convents, the dramatic Palace of the Inquisition, and other historic gems.

Panama Canal, Panama

Spend an unforgettable day cruising the Panama Canal, a fifty-one-mile waterway through the rainforest that is one of the world's engineering masterpieces. The ship glides down the canal with inches to spare, through locks that raise and lower it like a toy. Along the way it crosses enormous Gatun Lake, and the amazing Gaillard Cut, blasted out of a solid mountainside.

Manta (Quito), Ecuador
City Manta

...The port of Manta is the busiest fishing port on earth. The Museo del Banco Central is a fantastic museum ...Manta's beaches are spacious as well as beautiful, and are home to a wide array of wildlife. There are a few truly great restaurants in Manta, and the nightlife is fantastic.

Callao (Lima), Peru
City Lima

Callao is your port of entry to the glittering, elegant city of Lima, the darling of Peru. Founded by Pizarro and the Conquistadors, the capital city today offers priceless collections ranging from the Museum of Gold to the Museum of Anthropology and Archeology. Pizarro's remains can be found in the Cathedral, built in 1746. From Lima, you can also take a tour to Machu Picchu, the mysterious lost city of the Incas high in the Andes, or to Cuzco, the capital of the Incan Empire.
