Ship
Celebrity Edge
Overview

A ship designed to leave the future behind

Celebrity EdgeSM marks a turning point in our approach to ship design. From the very first sketches to experiencing those designs in a virtual reality setting, every step was done in 3-D. From the incredible new Magic Carpet to the private plunge pools in our new 2-story Edge Villas, we could design the most refined ship at sea. The unique outward facing design breaks from traditional ship design. Aboard, you'll feel more connected with the sea and the places you'll visit in a variety of spaces ranging from our Edge Staterooms with Infinite VerandasSM, to our reimagined, terraced pool deck that offers even greater views of the destinations and shimmer of ocean.

Activities

Eden

Eden, like so many aspects of Celebrity Edge, represents another revolution in modern luxury travel. It's a space where nature is so present, we call it "a room that lives." It's an experience so multi-faceted and innovative, you won't find anything else like it as sea-or anywhere. And no two visits to Eden are ever the same.

Moveable Feast

Join Gail Simmons and Marcus Samuelsson aboard Edge for a Moveable Feast speciality cruise on December 8, 2019 in the warm and sunny Caribbean. Savor dishes specially curated by the chefs during our interactive Moveable Feast Night in the Main Restaurant and enjoy cooking demonstrations and private cooking classes, where you can pick up some of our experts' techniques.

Resort Deck

With its stunning, untraditionally asymmetrical main pool area, new Rooftop Garden, multi-level jogging track, and a reimagined Solarium, the Resort Deck is unlike any other outdoor space at sea. Or anywhere else on earth.

Pool Deck

Forget about old-school cruise ships, which typically set up rings of decks chairs to look inward at a swimming pool. On Celebrity Edge, our reinvented outward-facing Pool Deck make sweeping ocean views and landscapes the focal point.

Solarium

One of the most popular spots on every Celebrity ship, the Solarium has been reimagined by celebrated architect Tom Wright, who used the ocean as his inspiration for this adults-only sanctuary.

Magic Carpet

The industry-first Magic Carpet is both the best way to take in spectacular views and the most exciting place to be. By changing function and location, it provides an incredible array of visual perspectives and a distinct experience on every deck it visits.

Dining

Cosmopolitan Restaurant
We know our current main dining experience across our fleet is one of the reasons guests sail with us time and time again. To maintain this essence of the Celebrity dining experience on Edge, we created the Cosmopolitan Restaurant-the next evolution of our current main restaurants. The walk-through wine display at the entrance sets the scene for the creative cuisine within-new American with global influences.

Normandie Restaurant
With ties to our elegant Murano specialty restaurant on many of our ships and a nostalgic nod to Celebrity Summit (wooden panels from the ship are incorporated into the design), Normandie Restaurant features contemporary French cuisine in a modern, upscale, refined space that evokes the romance of springtime in Paris. Enjoy regional European wines, deliciously unique cocktails, tantalizing starters, and mouthwatering entrees.

Cyprus Restaurant
Dear to our hearts, this restaurant represents our Greek heritage. We wanted to create a stunning atmosphere that would represent the Mediterranean fare served here, so we worked with world renowned designer, Patricia Urquiola. In Cyprus, the menu's main focus is seafood and features simple, clean dishes that celebrate the food and beverages of the Mediterranean region.

Tuscan Restaurant
Step inside and discover the delicious ambiance - a modern classical design centered around Italian fashion and film. Savor mouthwatering cuisine inspired by authentic southern Italian eateries, featuring all homemade pastas prepared with a rustic flare. Your taste buds will get a tour of southern Italy without even stepping ashore.

Luminae at the Retreat
Dining on Celebrity Edge is an exclusive affair for our Suite Class guests with access to a private restaurant, Luminae at The Retreat-the highest-rated restaurant in our fleet. Luminae is sumptuously designed by Kelly Hoppen and features daily changing menus not available in any other restaurant on board.

Blu
AquaClass guests will enjoy this exclusive restaurant featuring clean, crisp flavors and inventive cuisine complemented by an extensive list of sustainable, biodynamic wines. Pair all of that with personalized service, inviting surroundings, and natural light, and you have the fresh and bold experience of Blu.

Destination
Australia
Cruising to Australia gives you the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of pleasures. From the Sydney Opera House to the Great Barrier Reef, you can see a variety of sites and sounds that range from metropolis to wilderness. Few locations on earth give you the opportunity to scuba dive in the world''s largest coral reef and go on a shopping spree the same week. Most sailings leave from Sydney or Auckland, New Zealand. Cruises in Australia may visit Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, or destinations around the continent and New Zealand.
Ports of Call
Sydney, Australia
City Sydney

Sydney is Australia''s showcase: the oldest settlement, the largest and most thriving city, the cultural melting pot. It curves around idyllic Port Jackson, where sandstone cliffs and bright islands complement the Opera House and Harbor Bridge. Wander the cobbled colonial streets of the historic Rocks quarter, or tour the mansions of Watson''s Bay.

Doubtful Sound, New Zealand

Doubtful Sound located in a World Heritage Area, is an overwhelming place. You can feel the power of nature here - the remoteness, the wildness and the peace. Known for its wilderness and wildlife, Doubtful Sound is the second largest of the 14 fiords in Fiordland National Park and it is three times longer and 10 times larger than Milford Sound.

Dusky Sound, New Zealand

Milford Sound, New Zealand
City Milford Sound

Milford Sound is simply stunning. In Maori legend, the fiords were created not by rivers of ice, but by Tu Te Raki Whanoa, a godly figure who came wielding a magical adze and uttering incantations. Milford Sound (Piopiotahi) is without doubt his finest sculpture. Whatever the fiord's mood, teeming with rain or with sun glistening on deep water, it will inspire you.

Dunedin, New Zealand
City Dunedin

Dunedin is actually a collection of small towns, great sights, and enjoyable atmospheres. The flora and wildlife are plentiful, and Dunedin is loaded with wonderful historic buildings and fabulous architecture.

Christchurch, New Zealand
City Christchurch

Christchurch was founded in 1850 by members of the Church of England, who wanted a little bit of heaven on earth. They succeeded, and today the city takes great pride in its spacious layout and distinctive English-style buildings in elegant grey stone. The River Avon winds through Christchurch, along parks and gardens that cover one third of the city.

Wellington, New Zealand
City Wellington

...exquisite architecture, great museums, and fabulous dining establishments. The accommodations and amenities in Wellington are superb, and during the summer there are many hot beach spots...

Napier, New Zealand
City Napier

Tauranga, New Zealand
City Tauranga

...It is no wonder why the region has become so popular, as it is safe, exciting, diverse, and warm. From touring in a four-wheel drive vehicle through the hills to swimming with the dolphins, Tauranga has it all.The hot springs are glorious, and you could spend an entire day and night lounging in the bubbling saltwater pools. They are truly magnificent, as are the restaurants and accommodations in Tauranga...

Bay of Islands (Paihia), New Zealand
City Paihia

Auckland, New Zealand
City Auckland

New Zealand's largest city is draped over seven volcanoes and wrapped around Waitemata Harbour (meaning "sea of sparkling waters" in Maori). Despite its British feel, it is the world's largest Polynesian city. Shop for Polynesian crafts on Queen Street, the main drag. Or from atop Mt. Eden, overlook the "City of Sails," which will host the America's Cup races in 2000.
