Sunset
The city of West Palm Beach is located on the eastern coast in Palm Beach County. Back in 1880, the land was once owned by Irving R. Henry from North Carolina who sold it to Captain O.S. Porter, and was purchased by Henry Morrison Flagler, who is the founder of Standard Oil and the Florida East Coast Railroad. The city of West Palm Beach became established in 1893 with the help and ideas of Henry Flagler who developed the city into 48 city blocks. Did you know that the first building built in West Palm Beach was a hardware store on Clematis in 1894?
The city of West Palm Beach is enriched in history as well as attractions for its visitors as well as residents. One of these attractions would be the Norton Museum of Art, which is well known for internationally permanent collection that features European, American, Contemporary Art, Chinese, and Photography. You will also have the opportunity of viewing exquisite exhibitions, attending lectures and education programs for all ages.
Lush botanical gardens, waterfalls and exotic flora trimming magnificent sand and seascapes are only a part of Port Antonio's sensuous offerings. Located on Jamaica's northeast coast, this resort area was the original "holiday capital" of the island attracting Bette Davis, Ginger Rogers and Errol Flynn, with many elegant villas still catering to those of fame and fortune today. Rafting on Jamaica's Rio Grande, climbing Somerset Falls and swimming or snorkeling at the beautifully romantic Blue Lagoon are some of the highlights of a visit to Port Antonio.
...The weather almost never becomes too hot or uncomfortable, and the sights and smells of the land are marvelous...It is also Spain's main naval base...The landscaped squares of Cartagena are so magnificent that you can spend hours just sitting and looking...The buildings and religious structures of the city add to its wonderful culture, and a walking tour of Cartagena is great fun.
